Alright thanks so much for all the feedback. I’ve got the hang of this and have a really nice rock sound coming from my headphones. And lots of tools to play around with now.

I didn’t even know I could use guitar pro to be honest, with the interface together. How little I know surprises me sometimes but it also keeps me motivated.

Thanks again everyone. I wish I had gotten this interface sooner because it feels like it will be really beneficial to my practice. I definitely recommend trying something like this if you haven’t. Just be careful about spending too much time tinkering and not enough time practicing. You guys did save me lots of time by answering my question so thanks again.

In lesson 2 or 3 or 4 of the new course Doug shows off his mini marshall.

Just wondering is that an older style of that little marshal? I Picked one up like it and mine sounded horrendous. I mainly just wanted something I could play low and also even play with headphones for very low since I’m a night owl. My little marshal amp seems to only want to roar but in a way that’s too noisey to sound good. I was thinking of putting it on EBAY but I wouldn’t even want to pitch it to someone as being a decent sounding amp. Mine is a MG10, and another thing it does is seems to make the low E BOOM and so on compared to the higher strings. Not in a good way and not in the way my other amps sound.

Maybe mine is defective? or is it a pos?

demonstrates that many much cheaper Behringer pedals are identical to more expensive BOSS ones.

I have the Behringer Metal Pedal as my first and only pedal, and I have some fun with it. Im not an expert at tuning things up, so I settle for less than the sound I REALLY want. But anyway just playing day to day I’m pretty happy with play strait through my amp usually. I have a few amps now as well as another high end Marshal I just love and am happy just turning the built in knobs on it mostly. I was looking into another Behringer Noise Suppressor or something like that. I Thought I might be a fool for buying multiple cheap pedals, but I think this brand might be on to something. Down the road I’d pick up more specific and high end gear but I have a lot of fun with my Behringer Metal Pedal, the only problem is have it it gets ‘noisey’, have have to mute my strings like a pro or just let everything sound like it’s echoing through the pit of electric doom.

If I Could step back in time, I’d buy a Jackson Soloist or maybe Dinky similar to the one I already have now, but I’d buy an old, used Made in Japan model with a HSS set up.

This one catches my eye too, but it costs more and is probably also a lesser guitar than some of the used ones out there.

Seems a shortage of new Jackson’s with that pick up configuration.

That is helpful to hear. I will try to follow along as you say and go back for review on anything I cannot get up to speed accurately. I did see another post about using a DAW. It is something I’ll have to look into as a progress.

I think I can pretty much hear when I am on beat with the early exercise but I also know my mind can deceive me. So I’ll look into the DAW stuff, I have to admit I don’t really know what it is.

Thanks for responding Doug! I feel like I am already progressing in just a few short days.

And also thank you to everyone for responding

    Got it! Thanks everyone.

I wish I knew about this guitar pro stuff and this course sooner.
