Hello all,
My real name is Dev. I have been playing guitar since 2001. Got more serious about my learning around 2007 and bought the Metal Method Complete Course and as they say, the rest is history… I’ve got about 9 or 10 Metal Method DVDs, maybe more.. Even bought Vocal Power way back when and saw great results there. Though I think my favorite is the original Metal Riffology. I haven’t tried the most recent versions yet, but the older one that I did get was amazing.
I also teach guitar, both privately and online. I have a free guitar lesson website I post on regularly but I’m not going to spam you all with that, perhaps a link here and there as necessary if allowed. Teaching and helping folks with guitar is just what I love doing so I’m hoping to get to know you all and hopefully help some folks in the process.
My current rig is a Schecter C-1 Blackjack with a Duncan Distortion in the bridge and a Duncan 59 in the neck running into a Peavey Valveking 112. If you couldn’t tell.. I liked metal a lot when I bought this gear lol. That’s not to say I don’t now, I definitely do, but I’ve recently started playing a lot more acoustic. My acoustic is an Epiphone Hummingbird and I freakin love it.
As far as life outside of guitar, my website takes up half my free time outside of my 9-5 as a Project Manager. I’m always working on creating new content. When I’m not doing that, I’m working on code. Becoming a software developer is a career shift goal I am working on. Been studying Java for a couple years now and working on honing in that skillset. In the winter I love to snowboard, summer time I skateboard. I also have a 6 year old German Shepherd named Kovu, who really takes up most of my time. Whether I think Im working on something else or not.
