Hello, I’m an old school student from back in the 80’s. I originally bought the Metal Method back when in was offered on a cassette tape. 😊 School & the military got in the way of my learning, then in my later years I purchased the 6 DVD course but once again work, and family took priority. Now that I’m more financially secure and my kids are now adults, I’m getting back into the Metal Method course.

I’ve noticed that on the latest revision of the course it now integrates with the program Guitar Pro. I have GP6 on my computer and was wondering if the TAB exercises in the 6 DVD set are available in the GPx format?

      Thanks
      Dave

Yep, they are GP6 files (.gpx).
GP7 can also open them, GP7 changed filenames again to now be .gp extension. But of course GP6 cant open the new .gp files. Although GP7 has good export features to older file versions.

But nothing beats cassettes. Those things are still playable, after decades 😀

      Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks for the info on the GP7 superblonde. I have always wondered what the .gp extension stood for. I’m used to seeing like a .gp3, .gp4, etc. Looks like I can upgrade to the 7.5 version for 50% off for past GP users. I’ve seen a few .gp extensions on some tabs, now I know why they would not play on my GP6 version. 😊

Hello rightonthema, and thank you for your service as well. I was in the Navy from 88 – 92.

I definitely recommend updating to the latest GP with their low price upgrade option (if you’ve got a couple bucks). I had a thread about this somewhere here on the forum. But for those who dont have any extra cash, GP6 is still ok.
