Hello all,
I am an OG Metal Method student from the 80s. My original journey took me through most of Doug’s original lessons and then through Michael Angelo Batio’s original Starlicks lessons. I’ve gotten ALOT of mileage out of that would have to say it forms the foundation of my guitar playing some..ahem..years later. Haven’t done any gigging in a few years and now find myself fairly rusty. Got to reminiscing about those old Metal Method courses and thought it’d be a fun exercise to work through the latest iteration of Doug’s lessons, which seems more interesting and constructive than just noodling around on stuff I about half remember. Maybe I’ll even get back to writing and recording new material.
