This is a question posed in Dan Mumm’s recent newsletter… deep philosophical guitar-goal question..
Now, this goal should evolve over time. The more you learn, the better you can hone in on where you want to go. But, for now, it’s important to come up with some definition of where you want to go with your practice in the long-term. What do you imagine yourself playing and being able to play on the guitar in 10 years?
I’m not sure what I hope to be playing in the future. Maybe i’m too busy trying to tackle things day by day.
Anyone want to share an answer?
I'm an intermediate student of Metal Method. I play seitannic heavy metal. All Kale Seitan! ♯ ♮ ♭ ø ° Δ ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬
And on the Seventh Day, Mustaine said: ∇ ⨯ E = - ∂B / ∂t ; and there was Thrash; and it had a ♭3; and it was good.
I like the day-to-day aspect of life. I never planned to be an MM instructor- never dreamed this would happen. I just loved guitar, and studying, and practicing. 🙂
At my age, anything!
My biggest fear is when I die, my wife will sell my guitars for what I told her they cost.
i was thinking the exact same thing.
🤘🏽🎸🤘🏽
rock and roll ain't pretty; that's why they picked us to play it.
dont worry guys. robbie krieger is still shredding on stage for solos. he might just live forever, it must be all the lsd? there is hope for elder guitarists everywhere.

In 10 years? I’d like to be playing something that sounds good. Lol
