always liked this tune but like other tunes with major keyboard parts i avoided it.
now i like trying to do the keyboard parts on guitar.
that and add in a bit of my own improvised lead stuff.
      fun song.

rock and roll ain't pretty; that's why they picked us to play it.

Yea. Head east. That sure got lot’s of airplay back in it’s day. You seem to like many of the same classic songs I do. Awhile back I tried to find other songs “I missed” due to no exposure in their catalog noteworthy, but seemed like I didn’t.

i am 52 years old and while some of the stuff i like i was pretty young when it came out i still heard on local rock and classic rock radio in my high school days in the ’80s.
plus when i really started to get into bands i jammed with guys a few years older than me. that’s how i got turned on to UFO and Robin Trower.

Well at least you are keeping it alive!. Keep Rockin. I think I mentioned here before probably I saw Trower live on the Bridge of Sighs tour, and Schenker in UFO open for Rush. Then Schenker on his next to last tour with UFO years later. Both guys are incredible and left their mark and still play live. I was on eBay years back in the early days when Michael was in his rough spot in Scottsdale and he put up his famous V for sale and I watched it sell, pretty dumb I didnt bid it was only like $5k. It must be worth some major $$ now.

I have been thinking of selling a few QR pieces and memorabilia I kept. The other day I was looking at my ticket stub collection and wrote on the back of them who was on the billing. The oddest one had to be Ramones opening for Sabbath, the final Ozzy tour I think before he was booted. I think I saw Head East open for someone, dont remember, I have quite a few I kept, wish I had all of them. I have Good memories all these songs you have been posting, like you mentioned the REO tune you play in your band- “back on the road again”.

Aren’t you glad video existed back then? Very cool. I only have one photo (no video), thats it for my days playing live, but it was late 78-82 period when video really existed only for Pro’s. Your band sounded good and bet it was fun, and being able to show your family and kids those videos.
