I like the first choice, but would leave out “hard”. “Change is Habit” maybe? Though true, saying it’s hard will turn people off of the idea.

Classic rock is full of innuendo though. (re: hard) Ummmmm.. ok I’ll go back to my corner.

I'm an intermediate student of Metal Method. I play seitannic heavy metal. All Kale Seitan! The glutens will be eaten with relish!
And on the Seventh Day, Mustaine said: ∇ ⨯ E = - ∂B / ∂t ; and there was Thrash; and it had a ♭3; and it was good.

1+ on Igglepud’s point about use of the word “hard”

(also focus on the negative = disempowering)

My offering based on the evolving suggestions:

It seems many internet guitarists like the word guitarded (as in, guitar retarded) tho the word seems a bit of an odd comparison to me so personally I’m not a fan of it.

Hey you know that old joke: If “pro” is the opposite of “con”, is “progress” the opposite of “congress”?
In the rock n roll world would this be, If “pro”-gress means moving forward, does guitar-gress mean shredding forward?
Ok it’s late I’m being silly. Hah.

Really close to CJ Ortiz’s website: http://metalmotivation.com/
Not sure if this is cool with Doug, but I find this website VERY helpful when I need motivation to soldier on in my quest for guitar mastery! 🙂

I know CJ. Yes, he does a very good job.  Also, his brand: Metal Motivation, I wanted to stay away from something so similar.

I laughed all the way through this.  Yeah, part of what I need is to be concise.  That’s why I would prefer not to use the word “motivation”… too long but it is accurate.

A few notes from the paper in my pocket:

Guitar Motivation: The Power to Change

Guitar Power: The Challenge to Change

I think “motivation” is a good key word: it implies exactly the theme of the vids

I think the key takeaway from this thread is that the title should *literally* include the phrase “something something”. Very rock n’ roll. 😀

One of the things that gets me most peeved is, apparently, the plateaus. Altho I dont realize when I’m stuck on these. I just get demotivated without realizing that it is because of the plateau. This is what I was reminded of this morning. I’m always very happy when I’m obviously making learning or speed progress (which is often just when starting a new thing because speed increases most at that time, I can see the improvement, it’s very obvious that things are coming along).

    So,

Guitar Plateaus – Progress Is Hard

The plateau myth exposed.  You’re either getting better or worse.  Usually when you think that you’ve reached a plateau you just haven’t realized yet… you’re getting worse.
