Are these three lessons the same or different than the Speed and Accuracy course that I’ve already purchased separately? I don’t want to spend clams on something I already own.

Given your experience and having gone thru S&A already, my opinion is that they are the same material for you. There’s some slightly different technique focus and practice tips etc. The exercises are the same. The challenge is the same.  For someone who might have gone thru S&A a bit but didn’t do the challenge or didnt get the stuff down, then these weeks are worth getting.

I didnt post my big “Table Of Contents” for week 26-50 because the newest videos have slightly different times than the first version I was viewing. But here it is for reference anyways, breaking down the topics.

      I'm an intermediate student of Metal Method. I play seitannic heavy metal. All Kale Seitan! ♯ ♮ ♭ ø ° Δ ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬
And on the Seventh Day, Mustaine said: ∇ ⨯ E = - ∂B / ∂t ; and there was Thrash; and it had a ♭3; and it was good.

Thanks so much for the breakdown. I compared the included transcript from S&A to your breakdown and the content is nearly identical. So I skipped over those three lessons and purchased the next four.

Doug did a great job on this course. Soloing is making sense to me now and I see those solos that I’ve played for years much differently. I see the logic behind it instead of just random flying fingers. I was playing the opening riff of “Wasting My Hate” by Metallica and the penny dropped. I knew the key but I saw the scale pattern.

Now I’m hungry for more modal stuff. I need to dip into Sarah’s buffet of lessons.

      Testing. Testing.

Having trouble posting again. I think the gremlins have returned with their diabolical sabotage.

Sorry I didn’t see this until now.  Yes, Speed and Accuracy exercises are actually spread throughout the course revision but intensely covered in those lessons.  It is an update of the original program but the exercises remain the same.  In the original program I spent too much time talking at the beginning of the program explaining various speed techniques.  In this update I spread the talking throughout the course which hopefully makes the program more fun to learn.

Some of the easy Speed and Accuracy exercises appear quite early in the course.  Even then, they are attributed to “Speed and Accuracy”

Thanks Doug. I will go back and purchase those three lessons because I don’t want to miss any information that wasn’t included in the original Speed and Accuracy program.

I have a question for you. Do you have plans to make a video or a PDF download only type of thing, exclusively for finger exercises, like the single string “02132432” or the Pentatonic sequences you put in several lessons?

I ask because I really liked those types of exercises because it really challenged me, forcing my mind and my fingers to escape the linear ascending and descending scale lines. Kinda like thinking outside of the pentatonic box while playing in it.

In previous versions of the course I included more fingering exercises.  In the 2017 version I decided to take a more practical approach – learn the pentatonic and diatonic patterns in all positions.  In my opinion they’ll help you more than any finger exercise because you can actually implement them while improvising.
