Hello all. I haven’t posted much in a while but I’ve been busy. Today I am, bored so I am gonna take a stab at pickup restoration.  Also my computer is on it’s last leg and about to die but no worry, I’ve got a brand new iMac arriving Wednesday so I will be up and running soon. Also Friday I am going to have either a Death Dagger or an Alvarez Dana scoop to play with. Anyway this is a Micheal Schenker baby V.

It is in excellent condition and feels great but it sounds boring. The guy who sold it to me bragged it up but the pickups aren’t that good and neither are the electronics. I don’t really like this guitar enough to invest in new pickups so I am gonna swap the ones in it with the ones I pulled out of the Hondo RR V. They are stock Hondo pickups but I have heard other RR’s on YTB with them and they sound pretty aggressive.  They are obviously over wound. I am generally not a fan of zebra pickups but since it already matches the color scheme I plan on disassembling the pickups and swapping the top plates.

Cheap Guitars (with some exceptions) play just about as good as expensive ones. It's your ability combined with an awesome amp that makes the difference.
