On my last post concerning my Michael Kelly guitar Motley mentioned a question about neck profiles. So I put together a little diagram of my four guitars and their profiles. I used a plastic contour gauge so not to scratch the neck. This is not perfect but it does show differences. I hope this comes out in the picture.

Very cool, I love the feel of my 89 Epiphone G-300 (it’s an SG body), it’s got the slim taper D. I contacted the guys at BYO guitar for my Strat neck and they cut it to a similar D shape but just a hair thinner. When I play my Jackson it’s pretty easy to feel the different, it’s got a little more meat cause it has a standard C shape. Never cared much for the V shapes, guess that’s for more bluesy people.

      I'm an intermediate student of Metal Method. I play seitannic heavy metal. All Kale Seitan! ♯ ♮ ♭ ø ° Δ ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬
And on the Seventh Day, Mustaine said: ∇ ⨯ E = - ∂B / ∂t ; and there was Thrash; and it had a ♭3; and it was good.

Thanks guys. What is interesting is the depth of the shoulders and neck back. What was cool also was that I used a semi flexible knife as the straight edge across the fret board. And to see and feel the fretboard radius was very cool to me.
