Has anyone tried the MAB signature strings? See pic below. Typically I do not fall into buying signature labelled stuff but the MAB signature picks are my favorite for sure, theyre great shape and the material seems perfectly grippy. The strings are just under $4 per pack. I just ordered some so I’ll be getting them on sometime late next week. I doubt anyone could suggest that MAB is putting a sticker premium on his signature stuff since the prices of his gear are always very reasonable.

I am positive this will help my bending which is very handicapped now from the strings I currently have on.

I haven’t, but I have been meaning to start a similar thread about his pedals. Toms’line engineering makes them I have only seen the digital delay, chorus, and overdrive pedals they are mini pedals and not expensive. I think the delay was $35 on Amazon it was the priciest one.

yes! I’ve looked at the pedals too – they seem very on point and nice graphic signature too. Maybe MAB could do a pedal demo in the context of his MM programs, for songs or exercises, I think that would be very cool.

I dont own any pedals other than a pitchblack tuner, and looking at the market from the outside, I kind of wish some 10 ton gorilla would come thru and stomp on the entire pedal market [no pun intended], to force a single form factor and interconnect spacing and connector. (10 ton gorilla is a typical biz book term for a company that is so large or purposely throws so much cash that everyone is forced to adopt the new style.) For example changing to a new mechanical-electrical connection and standard mini-size that would allow pedal boards to just plug in arbitrary pedals like Lego blocks, without any instrument cables in between and no extra barrel power plugs. ok that’s a bit off topic. At least MAB’s pedals are mini-pedal form factor with a consistent style across all of them.

Man I have been doing so many videos and tests of strings lately this is a near and dear subject this year!

The 7 string set looks EXTREMELY sensible, most have way too floopy of a low string

String longevity. I noticed a few months ago that the tone of the strings changed to the “less fresh” sound. I’d say they lasted about 3 months of playing several hours 6 days a week and probably cleaning them once a week. I still have them on because I didnt buy more. Still good, but this is just a note to say they lasted me at least 3 months sounding great. At least from my perception. I’m definitely getting these again. Hats off to MAB for endorsing cool stuff with reasonable price tag.

I am going to try the new MAB mini pedals next, just have not been in a rush to buy them since I have no real need yet.
