I was wondering what amps and effects Michael is using in the “punk’d” video Doug shot?

Hey John! I told you if you posted it here you would get an answer. Heh heh. MAB was plugged directly into my DAW, Sonar. For his sound we use the Amp Farm plug-in that simulates his amp and all effects. Here’s what is emulated in the signal path.
Analog Tube Screamer foot pedal plugged into audio interface
Noise Gate (FX2)
Screamer (FX1)
British Gain J-2000 (Marshall emulation)
4 X 12 Marshall cabinet with 25 watt green back Celestion speakers
4 Band EQ
Sine Chorus (Stereo) (FX-5)
Digital Delay (FX-6)
Medium Hall Reverb (FX-7)Metal Method Guitar Instructor

Doug, can you give a breakdown of what the various control setting are?
Is the TS that’s plugged into the interface set for a clean boost or for adding some extra gain?

Dave, that’s a pretty tall order. I’ve got to get some work done here. I’ve attached the patch. You owe me one. Go to the bottom of one of our catalog pages and make a nice comment. Heh Heh

Here’s a video of the guitars and rig MAB uses for his live shows (from 2013).

MAB played an online clinic ( sorry no link it’s on his website) His tone was incredible all he was using was a DIME stack and a tube screamer. It’s in the hands and technique. He could go from raunch to crunch to clean almost effortlessly. He relies a lot on mids I think the ts9 was full blast I could be wrong.
