    Ummm….

Tribute to Chris Cornell. We started on this after hearing of his tragic death. Took a lot longer than expected because we really wanted it to be first-class.

I played all the instruments, arranged, recorded & mixed it. Vocals are by my wife/ collaborator/ partner-in-crime, the beautiful and multi-talented Sage Rose (an on and off Vocal Power (and Metal Method) student.

    The video was an afterthought.

Very cool Byron.  I loved Chris Cornell’s first solo album.

Started rocking as the 1st chorus got going and by the end it sounded great. Intro and first verse felt a bit tentative or maybe timing is too laid back? I guess the original is kind of laid back too yet also sounds tight at the same time. I liked the ending “I’m done man” haha. Rock n roll attitude 😀 So cool that you have a close collaborator. This song for me is one of those that seems simple on first listens but then on later listens, more details seem to come out. Chris Cornell, definitely one of the best of all time.

I'm an intermediate student of Metal Method. I play seitannic heavy metal. All Kale Seitan! The glutens will be eaten with relish!
And on the Seventh Day, Mustaine said: ∇ ⨯ E = - ∂B / ∂t ; and there was Thrash; and it had a ♭3; and it was good.

Sage struggled with the vocals quite a bit; mostly searching for the right tone, but she also told me there are some notes that are really hard to get because they don’t lay right with the chord.

Seeing so.e live videos where Chris Cornell sang the tune differently helped build some confidence.
