My name is Zane. I’m in my mid 40’s. I finally decided I wanted to learn Guitar. I bought a new guitar last May, had a few private lessons, then read about the Metal Method course. I’m on week 15 now. I’m working on the finger tapping now. Hopefully that gets better with some practice.

Thanks for the Welcome. Things are going good with the course. I seem to be getting most of the lessons down. I’m still having a bit of trouble with that A Minor Barre chord in the week 14 lesson, but working on that one sure seems to have made others seem easy. I think I have to do some video recording to get some opinions on my form. Can I just record with my camera phone for that?

Welcome man! Ya, just record something from your phone and upload it to YouTube, then just paste the link to the video here on the forum. Ah yes, the barre chords. Just practice playing 5 or 6 string barre chords randomly around the neck for a few minutes a day, it doesn’t have to sound musical, it’s just good practice for moving the chords around the neck fluidly. In the future you’ll look back and laugh at yourself because playing the barre chords will be so easy now. 🙂

Thanks! I’m glad it’ll get easier to play barre chords. I feel confident it will. It amazes me that everything I practice at I get better at…lol As long as I keep going forward with this course I feel I will be alright.
