    Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience using guitar pro 6 and guitar effects software together?  I’m running Guitar Rig 5 for effects on my cpu but can’t use guitar pro 6 at the same time.  I have the AISO4ALL file but haven’t been able to configure both to work.  Would a guitar interface help?

What are you trying to do? Run two programs at once? Play Guitar Pro through the effects program?

is this so you can play along with guitar pro?

i don’t use guitar pro or guitar rig.

but i can run tuxguitar and ezmix2 (using amp sim patch) at the same time.

nothing special. i just open both and it works.

and i have a basic dell laptop with windows 7.

If you don’t have an interface, how does the laptop process your guitar signal? Are you plugged into a soundcard?

I don’t know about ASIO4ALL, but it sounds like an interface driver. My MBox uses ASIO.

What prevents you from running both?

I do this essentially everyday. I wonder why it doesn’t work for you?

I’m using BIAS FX running through FL Studio, or sometimes Pod Farm 2.

I basically launch Pod Farm 2 then launch the Guitar pro 7 (its only a trial)
I play Guitar pro then I can play along.

I’m using Line 6 Tone direct as the interface. I think this is where you’re having the trouble. One of your audio channels is locked up

I believe that when running Guitar Rig 5, it goes through the soundcard so Guitar Pro 6 won’t work.  I was wondering if using an audio interface would solve this problem?

If you plan on using your guitar with a computer, I would get an interface. Even if you get the soundcard working, you will probably see a significant delay from when you strum to the sound being heard.
