I never even knew of such bands until I heard the Meatmen

i came to know of sweet from various covers i heard of their tunes.
no you don’t – pat benatar
set me free – saxon
ballroom blitz – krokus
action – black’n’blue

and three of those covers were from the sweet album desolation boulevard which i had and first heard fox on the run.
then several years later ace frehley did a cover of that tune.
