oooh cool. Here’s my first immediate reaction comments over a several listens just now. But next week I’ll give it another listen and probably have a different set of odd things to say. overall amazing track as usual..
It’s different that it starts really heavy then goes into a melodic part then breakdown part, all within 1 min. I think foreshadowing some of the later melodic parts (like 1:33 part) by putting in a short intro at the front, could do a lot, to set up the listener for what to expect later (but what do I know, hah)
.. 00:37 I wanted the hi hat to carry thru this break part because early in the song I dunno where it’s going yet.
.. pick fade-in or fade-out but not both.
.. 01:37 Not a fan of that drum block choice that’s going on there (and later), sounds like a metronome to me, maybe a better percussion sound would be cooler. why the block rather than.. uh.. well I dunno anything about drums so I cant say. (xylophone as both percussion and harmony? would that be too weird?)
.. 00:47 the riffage there is kind of squeaky. string squeak I guess.
.. 01:13 the solo I think should carry thru into the next part a little bit rather than chop off, it’s kind of abrupt. But I dont know if that’s just a demo recording thing and would be fixed later anyway.
.. 02:45 the drums intensify but nothing else is intensifying so that’s a little odd sounding (maybe another demo type thing that would get fixed later normally).
.. 03:19 chord progression needs to not resolve somewhere in there and then go back to it’s normal thing.
.. 03:00 I like the drums that are going on there in this section especially the change at 3:20.I'm an intermediate student of Metal Method. I play seitannic heavy metal. All Kale Seitan! ♯ ♮ ♭ ø ° Δ ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬
And on the Seventh Day, Mustaine said: ∇ ⨯ E = - ∂B / ∂t ; and there was Thrash; and it had a ♭3; and it was good. -
